Our History

Rockside Family Dental Care has been serving the Independence and surrounding communities since 1975.  Some of you may remember when our founding dentist, Richard L. Parsanko DDS, was seeing patients above the Pharmacy Shoppe, located in the Independence Square.  This office was a little 2 room office that was originally owned by Dr. Glenn Wilson.

Dr. Parsanko then moved to the building right next door to our current location in 1978. Dr. Dean Carmichael joined Dr. Parsanko in 1984 and spent his first year in that facility. The practice was then moved into our current building.

Dr. William Brosky joined Drs. Parsanko and Carmichael as an associate doctor in 1990 and then quickly became their partner.  They remained partners until November 2008 when Dr. Parsanko relocated to sunny Arizona.  Dr. Parsanko is doing well and currently has his own practice in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. Paul Russ joined Rockside Family Dental Care in 2007 as an associate doctor.  Drs. Carmichael and Brosky welcomed Dr. Russ as a partner in 2008.

This brings us to 2010 when Dr. Adam Weisenbarger joined our Rockside team as an associate dentist.
