For more than 50 years, Rockside Family Dental Care has proudly served Independence and the surrounding communities with compassionate, high-quality dental care. Since opening our doors in 1975, we’ve built lasting relationships with generations of families, and we’re honored that many of our patients have trusted us with their smiles for decades.
Some longtime patients may remember our very first office, where our founding dentist, Dr. Richard L. Parsanko, cared for patients in a cozy two-room practice above the Pharmacy Shoppe in Independence Square. The office was originally established by Dr. Glenn Wilson and marked the beginning of a tradition of personalized dental care that continues today.
In 1978, Dr. Parsanko relocated the practice to the building next door to our current location. The practice continued to grow, and in 1984, Dr. Dean Carmichael joined Dr. Parsanko. After spending his first year in the neighboring building, the team moved into the office our patients know today.
As our practice expanded, Dr. William Brosky joined Drs. Parsanko and Carmichael as an associate in 1990 and soon became a partner. Together, they helped establish Rockside Family Dental Care as a trusted name in family dentistry throughout the community. In 2008, Dr. Parsanko relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he continued practicing until his retirement.
That same year, Dr. Paul Russ, who joined the practice as an associate in 2007, became a partner alongside Drs. Carmichael and Brosky. In 2011, Dr. Jason P. Jeran joined the team and was welcomed as a partner in 2015 as Dr. Brosky began his transition toward retirement. Dr. Brosky officially retired in 2024 after more than three decades of caring for patients and helping shape the practice.
Today, we’re proud to continue our tradition of exceptional dental care with an outstanding team of experienced and compassionate dentists. Dr. Margaret Jane Gibson, who joined Rockside Family Dental Care in 2021, is known for her gentle approach, attention to detail, and commitment to helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout every visit.
In July 2024, Dr. Kanika Manchanda joined our practice, bringing a warm, patient-centered philosophy and a dedication to providing high-quality dentistry.
